Don't know about you guys but every time I get a new message in my notification panel I alwaysdrag down the clock weather widget. If there was a way to freeze or lock the widget then I wouldn't accidentally drag it down.

This doesn't really solve your problem, but you can start your swipe from well above where the screen displays and it'll catch the notification bar on the way down. Still, would be nice to lock it down though.

Yes, I actually dragged it into the trash before I realized what I was doing! Would be great if it was locked into position.

You don't have to hold the "notification panel bar" all the way to the bottom of the screen. Just give it a little flick and it'll open all the way. This has never happened to me. Or, move the widget to the middle of the screen.

Don't hold it, just pull down the notification bar like the person above me said

While this has never happened to me, I could see myself using some kind of lock/unlock position feature...

All it takes is a very slight flick to open the notification blind. If you are pushing on the screen in one place for long enough to move a widget you just need to get used to Android.

Place your finger on the Verizon icon above the actual screen and swype down
