Hey guys. I'm having fun with my phone and plan to Root it but I want to have fun with it and figure out and play with all the options before I Root. But I just seen today that Samsung did an update that will block your phone from being rooted. Would this update have happened when the phone was activated? or maybe it has happened since I have been using it? The phone was purchased and activated on Sept 8th if that matters at all.

    THANKS!

that update is for the EE14 modem, if you go to menu settings about phone look for modem version ED13 or EE14
And by the way it was rooted again, so if you have EE14 your still able to root.

Ok thanks. I know I have the EE14 and I have read about all that also.

I thought maybe there was something else going on that I hade not seen before.

So everything is still all good in the hood.
