    EDIT: answered
    (see 2nd post below)

    When I get an email notification, it always links me to the HTC Gmail app. I would rather it send me to the Google branded Gmail app instead. Is there a way to make the Google branded Gmail app default for notifications?

    Thanks!

    I figured out how the Incredible handles emails using the two separate HTC and Google branded Gmail apps :

    =============
    I wanted to make the Google branded Gmail app be my default app, but I kept getting Notifications from the HTC app. Basically, both apps are always 'alive', you just need to turn off the Notifications for the app that you want silenced ... and turn on the Notifications for the app that you want to be active.

    In my case, I opened the HTC Gmail app, turned Notification off. I then opened the Google Gmail app and turned Notification on. I also setup a unique Ringtone to differentiate it from my other Notification (text, Talk, etc).

    To change these settings, you need to open up the specific app, select the Menu button, and go in the Settings.
