Tips HOW TO make softkey lights stay on

    Cut a small 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch square of black tape and place it over the light sensor in the upper left corner just to the left of the verizon logo and the soft key lights stay on when the screens on and they turn off when you turn the screen off. Works perfectly and really doesn't look that bad. If you found this info helpful please click the " Thanks " in the bottom right corner

    That works, but also doesn't it destroy the point of using auto-brightness? If you don't use that, and want the softkeys on all the time then that works.

    Yeah I never use auto brightness, messes with my eyes :cool:

    theres only four buttons, ive never missed when going to push one, i dont need the lights

    I use a privacy screen protector, so usually the softkey lights are on. oddly the auto brightness still works fine too.

    there is an app for root users that can turn them off or leave them on.

    i want the leds to stay on when my HTC incredible is awake. My friend's came that way, but mine did not. How do I adjust/set this without hacking or rooting my phone, PLEASE!?
