I'm using a LG Optimus G Pro (LG-F240L), rooted, android 4.1.2, no launchers or custom roms (rom'ing for international phones like F240L r a headache).

just wondering if there's a way to move the "app drawer/folder" icon from the dock on the bottom to another page? the folder holding all my apps.
I rarely use it, and want some more real estate on my crowded dock.
currently, I can't seem to find a way to do it without using a launcher.
I like to keep my phone clean and fast as possible.

    thank you for any help
    ^^

Welcome to Android Forums, wuttang! :)

Which carrier do you have? We can move your thread to the 'all things root' forum for your device, and then other members with the same phone and carrier may be able to help.

I know you said without a 3rd party launcher but Nova will do all that easily and is very fast. Thats all i can suggest man
P.s your level of phone can more than handle having some 3rd party apps on it lol especially since the launcher is such a core app and a huge part of the experience. (Dont be tempted to uninstall your stock launcher though [tip])

  4. If you are not root-ed then Nova Launcher Prime ($4 version) will do everythihg you describe. Since you are root-ed you will need to verify that it does so for you.

Nova Launcher has a free version. I would suggest you give it a try. It is very clean and fast and add additional functionality to your home screens including the feature you are looking for.

thank you everyone for the help~
My experience as a previous iphone user scared me of using slugging launchers but I'll definitely give Nova a try~

my carrier is ... LG... since right now i'm overseas in Seoul Korea btw.

  7. I moved this thread to the sub-forum where rooted versions of this phone are discussed.

I never used an alternate launcher until I happened onto Nova. It solve stupid little problems that I had lived with for years. I have the Prime version so I don't know off the top of my head what options are excluded in the free version. Try the free one first.

I hope it works on your root-ed phone.
