Hi guys, I have a big problem. I usually boot my phone into the recovery menu in order to clear the cache and this time the worst happened. I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing and I ACCIDENTALLY chose the option that wipes your phone clean, that performs a factory reset. I didn't realize what I had done until it was too late and the damage had been done. My question now is, please is there any way at all to recover my data back? Free method or paid method. I can't take it to a recovery specialist due to where I live, so I'm gonna have to deal with this by myself. Do any of those android data recovery software actually work? Please any help would be appreciated.
My phone was running on Android 6.0.1 and no, it wasn't rooted. And no, I don't have a recent backup. I just didn't expect something like this to happen all of a sudden. Also, I haven't used the phone, as soon as I saw the setup page, I switched it off and kept it aside. Thanks for all your help.

Well, honestly the only way to recover your phones data is from a backup, which you do not have. So, unfortunately, you're out of luck here. I highly suggest making weekly or monthly backups of your phone and transfer them to your computer and/or an external SD card. Trust me, it's always good to have a backup of some kind lying around in the case of disaster.

There are a number of "good" backup apps that are out there, so all I suggest you do is look around the play store and find the app that works best for you. I personally use Flashfire to keep backups of my system, data, and internal storage partitions in case I wipe one of them by mistake. Keep in mind, if you decide to use the app I use, that your phone may get very hot during backup.

Cheers!
