Help How to reset Desire out of box

How can I completely delete or reset everything on my phone so its like it just came out of the store. please help.

There's a factory reset option in Settings -> Storage. That will restore your phone to as it was when it came out of the box. Stuff on the SD Card should remain intact though.

how do I delete everything off the sd card? Brand new

From your homescreen, press "menu=>settings=>storage=erase SD card"

I erased my sd card and now my phone will not boot it is stuck in loop. I already tried going into recovery etc. please help.

Try a battery pull - leave it out for a couple of mins

When you say it is in a boot loop... how far does it go?
