Root How to restore to factory AFTER you install a custom ICS ROM on HTC Rezound

Hi,

I have an HTC Rezound running on Gingerbread 2.3.4. I want to install a custom MOD of ICS on it since HTC is going to release official ICS over the air sometime next year and these things always take too long. My question is after I root and install a custom ICS mod, is there a way to factory reset BACK to 2.3.4? SO that if ICS is giving me problems or the official version has come out, I can factory reset BACK to 2.3.4 and then get the official ICS ROM?

Thanks,

Oh ok Skater. But hypothetically speaking, if an ICS Rom does come out, how does one go about factory resetting after installing a new version of android. Any ideas?

This depends. Since there is no S-Off or perm root it's hard to say, different methods are achieved different ways. More than likely, you would have to install a factory RUU from your computer. Some phones, you can just flash the original ROM. Hopefully we will know soon since we have the best developers out there working on this awesome piece of equipment. :D
