I try all most every app which are currently using gain to root access for MTK device. But unfortunately there is no success. So my is there any way to gain "full/permanent" root access on this device? Device detail is below:

    Model number: hTC Desire 616 dual sim [D616h] {htc_asia_sea_wwe}
    Android version: 4.2.2
    Baseband version: MOLY.WR8.W1315.MD.WG.MP.V21.P30,2014/05/16 17:40
    Kernel version: 3.4.39
    Build number: 1.00.708.016
    Hardwer version: M10 [Hardware: mt6592]
    Build date: 2014-06-17

    Thanks

    Thanks for quick reply :)
But as i understand that method does not give full root access.

As I told before on OP "try all most every app which are currently using gain to root access for MTK device". Kingo Root dose not support this device and Root Genius dose not give full root access on this device (e.g. to gain root access using Root Genius "Xposed Modules not work").

    Anyway Thanks again.

Is this device not supported by HTC's bootloader unlock programme?

It should be. Per the htc dev site "all devices launched after 9/2011 will be shipped with the unlock capability". If your device isn't listed, try selecting "all other supported models" as your choice.

If you can get TEMP root enough to dump the boot.img, you guys can get a custom recovery made. Would also need some partition info while you're in there:

    adb shell cat /proc/emmc

    adb shell cat /proc/partitions

I can TRY to help with that if nobody else kicks in. I see there's a few people asking about the 512 in the last few days as well. No promises though, sorry.

I tried that method but device not detectable on fastboot mode. It's show only "connect your device". After that I send an email to htcdev about bootloader issue but they replay as usual -
Here is the partition info as attached and THANKS in advance :)

Looks like we could use one more:

    cat /cache/recovery/last_log

Ah ok. May be incomplete info on all then. I thought per an earlier post you may have been able to get temporary root. I may have misinterpreted that.

On my previous reply it is clearly mention that, I already tried this method.

But one thing is not clear to me, why this device (D616h) does not have hboot? when I boot that device for recovery mode or fastboot mode then it's show only 3 options (recovery mode, fastboot mode & normal boot) with black screen. Where it should be white screen with as-usual hTC options (lock/unlock status, hboot/bootloader, recovery ..... etc).

Is this device (D616h) does not have HBoot ??

Update: it's confirmed via htc official this device (D616h) is Stock Android device and there is NO HBOOT available.

I don't no about that but since the 616 is kind of exactly like the 510.the 510 has hboot and more
