Root How to root HTC Wildfire....???

Hello everyone,
I'm a newbie android user, i have HTC wildfire (2.2.1). Phone is quite good, but i dont like its performance as i play angry bird, fruit ninja, or a simple game. The game becomes very slow while playing, my phone take the load... I have done the factory restore 2-3 times but there is no meaning of it. I heard about rooting by googling, so i want to ask u that, if i do rooting of my phone, will it give me the better performance ?? i seen 2-3 videos on u-tube that they increase the cpu clock upto 7oo+ !! is it really possible ? or will it really give better performance... ??

Hey click on the link HERE to root your Wildfire, FOR THE PART ON HOW TO DOWNGRADE YOUR HBOOT TO 1.01.0001, SCROLL DOWN UNTIL YOU SEE THE PART WHERE I EDITED IT

Btw rooting your phone makes it much better than if you havent rooted it.
Im currently running at 748MHz, it is much faster than the stock 528MHz, but sometimes it gets laggy, but much less than before.
When you do root your Wildfire, i advice you to NOT run at 768MHz+, you might get stuck in a boot loop (where your phone keeps restarting)
