How to root Note 5?

I have a T-Mobile n920t Note 5 that has stock Android 7 Nougat. Just installed it about a week ago so it's up to date. I can't seem to get it rooted so I can use Nova launcher and such. I tried the method using Odin and TWRP. Also tried CF root. I run a root checker app and it always fails.

Anyone have recent success and how?
