The best thing to do is to be patient. Don't try scamming them.

First thing you'll want to do is NOT come on a public forum and ask how to commit insurance fraud.

Edit: Too late, you already did. Throw that ish in the river, tell em someone mugged you for it.

JUst wait. Pretty soon VZW will cram insurance down our throats like data plans because ppl just have to have something newer so milk the masses for our own good.

why not be patient for the official os, it was the risk you took, you knew the consequences, you should suffer from it. i am a tech for vzw, dont scratch it, dont do anything, everything now must go through insurance for the most part, they are getting very very strict on replacing phones in store or getting a replacement sent to you. everything now is pretty much an insurance claim.

This thread needs to be deleted due to a question being asked about how to commit insurance fraud, imo.

I really don't think its smart to ask on a public forum how to commit insurance fraud. It's not very good waters to be treading in.

I know in Cali once I tried something similiar. I tried to say it was stolen so they needed a police report. Called the cops and they started giving me the business.

You can't even say its lost or stolen because verizon can trace the thing to its exact location using GPS technology.

I believe the insurance covers accidental damage period. So what ever happens I think its best you have the remnants of the phone to turn in.

This is insurance fraud and therefore illegal.
