Hello and welcome to AF. :)

The best ways are to not charge it often, wait 'til it's at 15% 10% before charging.
Make sure your phone is not constantly searching for a 3G network if your not within range, for this can really drain the battery. If this is the case than turn airplane mode on which will disable all networks and this will cause you not to receive phone calls too. Make sure to turn off WIFI or your data network if your not using them.

If anyone could tell me... about the Juice defender... is it really effective? Does it really work? I really have a problem with unit ever since i bought it, the battery wont last longer. I've already tried everything but nothing seems to fix. I wanna try downloading battery saver but I just wanna make sure first if it is safe and effective.
    Thank you.

Don't worry, juice defender is safe but I don't know if affective. There's a possibility that you may just have a bad battery and need to replace it.

Welcome aboard. Thanks for stopping in for assistance for your device.

Battery problems...this seems to plague every smartphone users. And up until now - nothing seems to work to fix this problem.

Personally, I don't even let it get to me anymore. I got three spare batteries from EBay and now I'm less stress. What I would suggest you do -- is to get yourself one or two extra batteries and enjoy your device the way it was meant to.

Also, stop by your device's support forum for some info, hints, and tips on your device. Choose your device model from the list here: home-page

    Best of luck. :)

    (METROID PRIME)..

I already tried all those stuff but its not working to my phone. I'm just wondering if the battery along with my unit is original. I am not really fun of using 3G, Wi-fi and etc. I always make sure wi-fi, bluetooth and gps are disabled... No vibration, Low contrast and low volume of tones.Tones were even off sometimes. I am not really using it always cause I am working but I need to charge it everyday because its always getting empty.
    Anyone could help me?

Have you downloaded any apps recently? It could be a bad app maybe not closing correctly. You don't have task killer do you?

I have samsung galaxy Y. My friend have samsung corby. I bought my phone a month ago and she bought her phone 7 months ago. She always listens music and i do often. The thing is... her battery lasts for 3 days but mine only one day. Should I really buy a new battery or it is really normal for samsung galaxy y to easily get empty. I am just afraid if i will buy a new one and the problem will occur.

Some phones guzzle more battery than others. More powerful ones do I think...
If it's not a bad app than maybe it could be a bad battery... Before going out and getting one and it turns out not to be that kinda issue, I would head on over to your devices forum and it's area of support here
Samsung Galaxy Y and see if people have the same issue and maybe ask there.
Hopefully it's not because of a faulty battery. It might also be because the battery doesn't have as much capacity either. What's the capacity on it?

EDIT: Don't get a taskiller for they just make things worse and are bad for your phone. I always avoid those.
