Download Astro from the marketplace. Once downloaded, navigate to the file you want to transfer and press and hold on it till a menu pops up. Select send and then Bluetooth :).

(Had this same question last night and just found this thread)

In Astro, I couldn't find the option to send by bluetooth - only by email?

In Bluetooth settings it said I was paired with the friend I wanted to send to, but not connected. I kept scanning but his kept saying the same thing. Any tips on how to be both paired and connected? My guess is once we're paired and connected the option would have shown up in Astro?

When I try it asks me if i want to send through: Bluetooth, Evernote, Google Mail, or Messaging.
I just tried on my X10 to send to my partners Desire and is working fine, no problems at all. Do you have the latest version of Astro installed?
Also, is the phone you're tying to send to Android as well? If so, it may be easier to connect via Bump, just install that on both phones. I've found it very useful :). Or if it's an iPhone, I sent all my contacts from my iPhone to my X10 when I got it no probs :).
