I just got a Droid DNA and I can't figure out how to send MMS messages without pictures. I want to be able to go over the 160 character limit with people who have different carriers, but not have to attach a picture every time I want to do it. Can this be done?

What about downloading a different messaging app from the play store?

I have handcent, but I don't know how to do it on there either. I don't know enough about any of the other apps.

Doesn't it automatically switch to MMS mode if you go over 160 characters?

My wife just got an Droid DNA. It definitely does not automatically switch to MMS when you go over the 160 character limit. Has anyone figured out how to make it do that?

Doesn't messages still send if they are over 160 characters? They just get broken up into multiple messages?

It sends, but I believe it doesn't change to mms until your characters get in the 875 to 1000 range
