Help How to syncronize Messages from Old Micro SD Card

I was earlier using Samsung 8910.
All my messages were getting saved in its 2GB SD Card.
After purchasing SGSII i inserted the same sdcard inside it.
I dont see any of my messages now.
I had also made certain folders by catagory (Jokes,Christmas,Freindly),
also they are not visible.
I want them back...Urgently.
Can anybody help me out?

Have you tried to use the program called Kies from the Samsung website, and backup the contents from your SD card, then formatting the card in the SG2 and sync the messages back to the phone using Kies again?

No I havnt tried that.......I do it and surely reply......hope it works!
But will it matter that all my previous messages were on symbian platform
and now they will on android patform.
Is that the reason my phone not able to read them?

Hmm I don't know if it has something to do with the OS. But when you plug your SD Card in a PC you can back up whatever is on the card. Then try the Kies backup/restore. Unless someone else knows more I hope you'll get your messages back

Actually I was thinking about your issue and thought maybe the messages are on the sim card instead of the sd card? Could that be? Do you use another sim card then before?

I am using the same Sim Card.
i tried kies also. Its not working.
Guys I am sure this would have happened with all the s2 users.
But nobody has approached for.
Because everybody atleast has 300-400 sms's on their existing phone before buying one(s2, here)
How everybody recovered their messages?
were'nt they saved (thru settings)on their micro sd card?
I think it is equally important issue for any other/new android user!
