I'm trying to get my Samsung GS2 to tether via USB with Mac OS X. Anyone had any luck with this?

I am on 02. They allow tethering on your monthly tariff now.

There are some OS X network preference settings that are possibly required:
    Tel No
    Account name
    Password
APN (with I think is mobile.o2.co.uk)
    CID

I can get it working by wifi hotspot, but not USB.

Thanks for any help. I phoned o2 support but they said they didn't support tethering with Android to mac (even though they sell lots of Android handsets and allow tethering with tariff now!)

This is relevant to my interests. Seriously, anyone knows how to set this up? I dont want to waste battery by keeping the Wi-Fi tethering on by mistake.

I've not got a mac to work this one out on (sorry), though you could plug in your USB cable whilst using the Wi-Fi hotspot to keep the phone charging?

That is exactly what I do, the problem is that sometimes I forget to turn it off and end up wasting a lot of battery juice.
