Hello,

On the iphone there is a tethering app that allows you to throttle the power of the wifi signal. Is there anything similar for android? I am looking to reduce the range on the wifi antenna for when I enable wireless tether.

Hmmm, I never heard of anything along these lines. Then again, I've never looked. I'd run a search over at xda and see what pops up.

yeah i tried searching for anything that will reduce wifi signal and i could not find anything. if it is for security puroposes you can always encypt it with a passphrase. also some tethering apps you can use bluetooth instead of wifi.

There is nothing I know of that does that, like onc said, I would just use a password. I guess you could always just wrap the phone in layers of aluminum foil though lol.
