I have a Galaxy s5 with a 16g SD Card. I bought a 64g Samsung SD card. I made sure that card was formatted in my device. I used xcopy to copy my files from my 16g and then to transfer to my 64g. It goes thru the process of listing every file to be copied but without fail every time at the end of that process I get the error "the file directory is corrupted or unreadable". I do a chkdsk on the 16g and it comes back fine. I do a chkdsk on the 64g when its blank and it comes back fine too. When I do a chkdsk on the 64g after transfer attempt it comes back showing DCIM is corrupted. It lists DCIM 1 2 3 4 and so on but I've never let it count past 2500. I deleted the dcim folder from my 16g and copy again and then transfer but now the chkdsk says Music is corrupted 1 2 3 and so on. What am I doing wrong? Is there a better way to copy and transfer? *EDIT it seems now that chkdsk thinks every single file on the disc is corrupted.
