How To Turn Off The Female Search Voice

When I press the microphone and ask a question, a female voice says "here you go, etc." That is annoying when someone else is nearby (and always unnecessary).
Not sure how to title the question as I am having no luck with online searches. The answers come back as how to change the language, etc.

Are you using Google Assistant or Bixby?

Have you tried turning down your volume, stating the dummy thing to do.

That seems to be the simple option but it only turns down the ringer.

If you're using Google Assistant, then open up the Google app, go to more>settings>Google Assistant>settings>Assistant Devices>phone>Speech output and set it to hands-free only.

Thanks, but I failed to mention that I prefer to tap the microphone. It seems a little more secure that way.

    ??

That setting is only for the speech output from GA, not input.

Make sure the media volume is on the lowest, not the ringtone.

I was thinking of all three, A bochur, learn to read between the lines.

I know you were, but from andrew's reply, it seemed like they only tried lowering the ringer, cuz if all sounds are muted, there's no way it would still speak.

I did a search for media volume and was able to turn off her voice. Thanks for the schooling!
