Help How to Turn USB storage on

Hi i've having trouble turning on my usb storage to connect files through my usb cord to the computer. I have the phone connected as mass storage and can see the files on my computer but i am givin no options to "turn on usb storage." I have tried different ports, enabling/disabling usb debugging, restarting the phone, and taking the sd card out then putting it back in. Also i'm on android version 4.0.4

well this is awkward 2 minutes after i posted this i can see my phone in doubletwist finally. I still havent figured out how to turn it on but since doubetwist recognizes it now i guess it doesnt really matter.
