    Hey Guys,

I downloaded Rom Manager, not know what I was getting myself into. I was planning on doing the Gingerbread update, but was unaware of how sensitive the rooting process was, as this is my first android device.

Well I have tried to uninstall the ROM manager and it is not allowing me to. Additionally, I am unable to download any apps to my phone. Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on what I should do or how to handle this miserable situation.

Your help is appreciated in advance.

Just because you installed ROM Manager shouldn't make your phone be unable to install other programs or uninstall ROM Manager. A great place for rooting and unrooting is XDA-Developers. There's alot to learn before you just start upgrading roms.

Before we start doing "crazy" stuff, have you tried a factory reset?

The other option will wipe your phone and rewrite all of your system files.
