Hello! I have a LG D415 with cyanogenmod 13 and am trying to update to the latest build. My recovery is twrp. I download the update via cyanogenmod updates and i press install which takes me to the twrp recovery menu. I look for my update in my files, but i cannot find it. Should I reinstall the cyanogenmod stock recovery? And if so, how do i do so? Or am I doing somthing wrong in twrp. Thanks!

Can't you just download the ROM zip from the CM website and then use TWRP to install it? My guess is that it's this "cyanogenmod updates" thing you are using that's the problem (either doesn't play well with TWRP or doesn't work properly).

The normal way to change recovery would be to download the recovery image (which must be built for your phone model, no other) and then use fastboot to flash it to your device.

CM Nightly updates works with their version of custom recovery.
If you want to keep TWRP, you can try a dirty flash of the updated rom zip.
Sometimes it is better to clean flash, less of a chance of glitches.
