I have an HTC Incredible phone from Verizon with unlimited data plan. I am looking at buying a Transformer tablet. Is there a way to Wifi connect the Transformer to the Incredible?
    Thanks.

if you root the incredible and get 'wifi tether' you can create a hotspot with your htc for the transformer (and any other device)

    good luck!

I am not sure I understand what you mean by "get wifi tether". Is this an application?

I don't own a Verizon phone, but I do have one from TMobile. I use the "portable hotspot" feature on my phone to wifi connect the tablet. Check under settings on your phone and see if you have an option called "Tethering & portable hotspot". If you do, just enable the portable hotspot option, and then go through couple of setup steps.

I checked my phones settings. There is something called "3G Mobile Hotspot settings". When I select it, there is a message which states that I need the 3G mobile hotspot feature from Verizon Wireless to use the service. Sounds like I would need to purchase some monthly service from Verizon in addition to my existing dataplan.
Is there an alternate method of connecting my Tablet to my cell phone wifi without purchasing additional services from Verizon?
