Tired of using the same old home launcher program? Want something to add some
Yeah it looks great but you cannot use any of the HTC Widgets, clock, etc. So I passed on it. I use those HTC Widgets too much.
yeah launcher pro kicks ass! htc widgets are all replaceable with almost the same and or better ones. saves a good amount of system memory too.
thanks for the icon link, i've been messing around with different icons and that site looks good.
you can find alternative dock backgrounds here LauncherPro Forum • View topic - Share your custom dock backgrounds!
Any widget that you use on sense, you can find an alternative to. I don't usually buy apps, but for 99 cents you can buy something that looks like this :
I will have to check it out, thanks!
With a little homework you could try it for free.
Nice walkthrough on LauncherPro OP.
Well damn..oh well, its only a buck. And thanks, i made it after one of my irl friends asked me how i did my evo.
I appreciate this!
I had no idea where to get icons.
Not a problem! Spread the word around
You mean by stealing it then. Nice work. Way to support the developer.
Just FYI I did buy it and did support the developer. As the link states, "If you like the content, you must buy it from the original developer of the content."
I know the market has a 24 hour refund policy but most of the time, for me, that's not enough trial time to decide if I like the app or not. In this case the developer got my money because I was able to download and try it for longer.
If someone could direct me to a calender widget similar to the 1x4 HTC widget, please let me know. It is imperative that it operates the same and has a non-ameturish look, I'd then jump on this.
Quick question about the icons - on iconfinder.com there are many sizes, does launcherpro resize them or do I need to download a certain size?
I'm not using it anymore, but I thought the Smooth Calendar widget was pretty similar, although it's not quite as pretty.
They're automatically resized for you, which makes higher res icons look wonderful.
on iconfinder do I have to download the "png" or "ico" of the icon or does it matter?
Karong - No idea...personally, i downloaded the ICO files.
I downloaded the png files and it seemed to work well so i guess it doesnt matter.
Just a heads up, the "Plus" version is up. Its costing 2.99 I just picked up my copy. Apparently you can now use HTC Sense "like" widgets. He said he will be coming out with more of them in the future. LauncherPro
Have you tried the Smooth Calendar Widget? It syncs with your google cal. I cannot do without it, and it was one of the first things I installed as soon as I got my android. You can check it out here: Top Android App: Smooth Calendar Widget | Best Android Apps Review
There's this one too, which seems to be free. I think I prefer Smooth calendar though, as this has more info than I would need at a glance. Android Agenda Widget: Stay on Schedule! | Best Android Apps Review
Jorte is also another great calender app with lots of widgets.
what are you guys using them to open and save them as a .jpg's because when i just dl them and save them they show up as icons so my phone isnt reading them....do tehy need to be in a specific place?
if you DL'd icon packs, with the extension ".apk" they can also be used from launcher pro by choosing "icon packs" when you choose to change the icon. if you DL'd ".png" or ".jpg" you just need to place them in a folder in the root of your SD, or any other folder containing picyures, and they will show up when you choose the "custom icons" option.
If I missed the mark on your question, sorry, I didn't see anything else posted to clarify your question, so I took a guess at what was going on with your situation.
No i dl'd them individually and choose the ico
