Root how to use ps3 controller on nexus 7 without otg cable is my question for this thread

Yes you can actually. The same developer that created the sixaxis app on the playstore created a pair tool for windows. Go here Dancing Pixel Studios and download the tool. Connect your ps3 pad to your computer using the same usb cable that came with your ps3 to charge. Then open the sixaxis app on your nexus and click start it will show you your bluetooth address though it wont find the controller. Now open the pair tool on your computer and change the bluetooth address to the one on your nexus. click save and close. You should be paired to your nexus now. Thats what i did. Now whenever you want to use your ps3 pad on your ps3 all you have to do is reconnect it to your ps3 like if you were charging it and it will again be paired to your ps3.

Do you have a mini-USB cable? Not one of the OTG ones, but one that connects to a PC or PS3. Yes? Good. No? Go get one!

Then download the SixaxisPairToolSetup.exe from the link Klex gave you:

Dancing Pixel Studios

Install that, hook up the PS3 controller to the PC using the cable and run the program. It's going to list a Current Master with a bunch of letters/numbers. Those letters/numbers are irrelevant, basically they're the numbers that assign it to your PS3.

You need to fill in the numbers that will assign it to your N7. To do that, buy and install this app on your tablet:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller

Run the app and look at the bottom of the screen. In dark grey letters there is listed "Local Bluetooh Address:" followed by another series of letters and numbers. Enter those characters exactly how they are show into the Pair Tool on the PC and click Update.

Then you can disconnect the controller from the PC, go to the Sixaxis app on the tablet and hit START. It'll say "Listening for controllers...", hit the PS button the controller and it should sync up.

Also, you may need to do some extra configurations for various games... here's the instructions from the dev's website:
