Here I will post it here for those that want to try it and stay in house, LOL

    C&P

[GUIDE] How To Use QPST to INCREASE the volume on the Evo 3D Many thanks to slayer69 for this. Basically just a copy/paste of his thread with some other changes for the low volume on the EVO 3D. I take no responsibility for your actions if you brick it or blow your speaker!!!!

Here is the new process for INCREASING the volume on your EVO 3D. Enjoy!!! (NO ROOT REQUIRED)

    1. Install HTC Sync if you haven't already.
    2. Use the CDMA Method posted Here to get your MSL. Thanks techwerkz - Or Call Sprint.
    3. Download QPST: http://www.x-drivers.com/catalog/fla...pst/12051.html
    4. Install QPST software
    5. Put phone into Diag mode: dial ##diag#
    6. Start QPST service programming. If your phone is in diag mode you will see it listed here.
    7. Click Read from phone
    8. Enter your SPC number (the one obtained from step number 2)
    9. Click the Sounds tab.
    10. Change each level to whatever you want it to be. Level 4 is the loudest (try not to blow your speaker, thnx!).
    11. Write to phone. (You may see some Read Only Errors. This is normal)
    12. Reboot phone and you will see the new banner.

HERE is a little help for installing all the sync drivers on win7x64.

Can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear - I'd avoid this one for fear of speaker damage.

The thing is frequency-range limited, especially in the lower registers. Increasing power to it will increase low-frequency output, and when you hit the limit for heating as it filters out those frequencies - result = blown speaker.

    Moved your post over here.

Makes me wonder if this should go into our Support FAQ or forum guide.

The penny dropped earlier when I saw the name reference today - I was going to ask if that was you.

Thanks for the hard work and contributions to the Android community, that's what I want to say!

volume settings didn't do squat for me. I changed settings under both the Sound tab and the MM Audio tab. No difference at all. I get the feeling HTC is already overriding these settings with their own volume sliders, so it doesn't matter what volume levels you choose under QPST...

So I'm calling placebo effect on those who claim this helps. Prove me wrong by showing me some actual decibel measurements before and after.

Anytime!! I do love Android.....no doubt of that.

Yea I had test this myself and did not see any difference either. I also did not want to blow my speakers incase there was ill affect. This is why I don't support this.....only the banner thread....that one I know is safe. ;)

now i feel volume+ (market) has increased the speaker. there is an issue with the app force closing when a call comes in. I have been on the horn with the dev and he sent me a working one (beta) which did not have that issue. so once he gets that figured out, you cats should try it...

yup. some day when I flash some AOSP ROM on this phone, the speakers are going to blow and I won't remember why :) Best to set them back to level 1 or something.

Ah, that reminds me. correction needed in post after OP, step 12 :)
