Just got an HTC EVO 4g for me and an EVO Shift for the misses, last week...
We came from Black and Blue berrys that were operating on Sprint's NEXTEL IDEN network... (The difference is night and day...) I really think thay should call it "LASTEL"...:D

Anyway... the first thing I want to do is root my phone, so I can get rid of the Sprint pushed apps that take up needless space and work on a few apps of my own...

So, far the android forum seems to be a pretty cool place and I'm sure... (even though there's a section called "rooting for dummies", I'll be looking for a life preserver, now and again...
