Hi folks, I have recently upgraded to the Desire S and passed my Desire on to my lovely wife, the problem is that she can't seem to get HSDPA at all. I called technical support but the guy insisted it was all down to the handset and nothing to do with the provider. So far she can get E, G, and occasionally 3G. Can anyone offer any assistance cos she's now talkin about gettin an iPhone since the HTC hasn't done what it should.

Assuming that you've kept your SIM and put it in the Desire S, have you tried putting it back in the Desire to see what happens? That should fairly conclusively demonstrate wether it's the network or the handset.

I had this problem. It was resolved when Orange sent me a new "H" compatable SIM.

What network are you on? Have you checked their coverage checker to see if you should get a good data connection by you?
