Help HTC 500 Desire Shutting down when trying to charge?

Last night my phone worked great, but suddenly when using Facebook Messenger, my phone screen turned black, the charging led and buttons were still lit up.
I didn't know what happened and thought maybe processor or something froze and left my phone charging since it was 2am.
This morning, my phone crashes all the times when I try to charge. I already did factory reset. I have only about 10% battery left, so I can't do much on it.
I really need help since I'm 15 and have no money at the moment.
