I have had my HTC Evo for about 6 weeks. My yahoo email is attached to my phone and comes through constantly. Yesterday it quit working. I tried turning the phone off, checked that the password in the phone had not been reset, logged into my yahoo account from the computer to make sure it didn't need a password and have taken the battery out of the phone and replaced it. Any more suggestions on how to get my emails coming back to my phone????

My email was just filtering through my messages app. I am on 3g and wifi. I only turn on 4g when I am in a bigger city with more towers. I did some searching on this site and found a post about maildroid. I downloaded it and now my emails are coming through. I would still like to find out a way to fix the messages error. I don't want to reset my phone to factory new right now. We are going on vacation and I have my hotel confirmation stored in my messages in my phone - should we need it.

Try clearing the cache on the Yahoo mail app.

Did you both Gingerbread updates? I keep reading on other forums that the Yahoo email doesn't work after the updates, especially the 2nd update.

It looks like a general yahoo issue affecting multiple handsets. For more info, check here.

Is there a known problem with gmail, too? If I refresh it will bring them up, but I haven't been getting notifications that I have new email. If I just open gmail, I have to refresh to see new mail. I'vevgone through all the settings and can't seem to fins anything. I'm new to HTC, just got it yesterday (had the Motorola atrix, my first smart phone, for a week). So that could be the problem.
