HTC bolt overheating issues,esp when charging.

My phone gets ungodly hour when in use especially when charging. I mean my phone says temps reach as high as 120 degrees. I've wrote HTC multiple times and no reply. Anyone have any ideas or info. I have had this phone maybe 4 months and it works flawlessly until it starts to heat up and runs more background processes. IDK just confused it's not a cheap phone.

From my under standing under heavy usage or charging it gets warm just make sure there is no apps running that not using any more

Another reason it over heats while charging is thestock charger is 3.0 it fast charge if u get the 2.0 is slower I'm on it now working good no heat now with cord off gets warm browsing the net.Now rember the frame of the phone is aluminum and meatle back acts as heat sink

I used a different aluminium-shelled HTC for 4.5 years without overheating, so don't think it's that simple. Sure it will conduct heat away quicker, so your hand feels the warmth, but that also means that the internal temperature will be lowered, not raised as the OP reports.

The obvious question is whether the OP is using the phone at the same time as charging. Doing that gives you 2 heat sources at once, and that will raise the temperature.

Your right I ran the 2.0 charger no heat when I run the 3.0 get heat cause it's fast charging faster rate

Any body here who wants bootloader unlocked and root go to xda there is some moded ROMs and TWRP an official one too😀 what I'm on right now
