    Hi

Got a new HTC Desire I cannot connect to the internet using my Philips Wireless Modem Router CGA5722 54 Mbps 802.11 b/g ADSL. I managed to connect to the internet in the office using our office wireless. It is just my home router. I have spent the last 3 days searching if anyone else got the same issue. Bur with no luck.
I can connect to the router with my laptop.

Both router and phone use the WPA wireless encryption .

I have already done the followings.

1- Rebooted many times, both phones and routher.
2- changed the channel in the router to various but non of them has worked.
    3- Disabled router

You could try downloading Wifi Advanced Configuration from the market, it helped me sort an issue where my Desire stopped seeing my hidden SSID wifi.
Also, is your router MAC-locked to the laptop perhaps, it's easy to forget this is switched on

    thanks SiHa,

No it was not locked to the laptop Mac. I have downloaded the new firmware, and reseted the router. that solved the probelm.
