Root HTC desire clockwork recovery not working

Hi

After discovering CyanogenMod I really wanted to try it out. Rooted using Visionary, s off via "Easy radio tool".

Backed up my rom


tried installing CyanogenMod just sticks on the htc (white background, green text) screen. I tried re installing my back up but the same thing happens

I have deleted all user/cache/dalvik

as it says on the wiki no results always goes to htc screen (no quietly brilliant)

Please help

p.s.
I backed up my ROM using ROM manager and via that installed clockworkmod 3.00005

it wont let you restore either? does it go through the restore then just not boot? Have you done a battery pull since?

How are you restoring?

Press Pwr & Vol down to get restore menu.
Do you realy have HBOOT and achieve S-OFF?
