Help htc desire...dies but the green light flashes

ive had my phone for about a month. was totally in love with it as i had a magic before and had no trouble with it.
this one however has started to do some silly things.
i can get a txt or email and get the notification noise and go to unlock screen and it wont do anything,but the green light is still flashing...
is there anything i can do or do i just get it sent back and fixed?!!!

I'd try a factory reset before sending it back.

Thank you..sorry not been on here since i posted as took phone in to shop and they sent it away for a software update!!

Not sure at the moment if this has worked as the first day i ha dit it crashed on me a few times....so far tho its behaved....i have phoned the shop and told them and they will have it back if things go wrong again!!!
