Does anyone have any idea if and when the HTC Desire HD may be launched in the U.S.? I just got out of an Evo from Sprint because of their horrible service and want to grab this phone on a U.S. carrier. Hopefully Verizon snags it. I haven't been able to find any information about it anywhere to even know if it will be coming out in the U.S.

Any info would be great! Thanks in advance.

    It's only Tri-band isn't it? Therefore, not U.S. compatible?!?!!

Gizmodo confirmed that it IS coming to the US. It was confirmed by HTC US. Do a search on Gizmodo and you'll find it. I'm pumped for this phone.

Gizmodo says it's coming to North America, not the U.S.

It'll work for AT&T and T-Mobile on the EDGE frequencies, if it's coming to NA hopefully it will have AT&T/T-Mobile 3G frequencies. I'd pick this phone up in a heartbeat if that were the case.

Go see ... HTC - Products - HTC Desire HD - Specification

    "... Europe:
    • HSPA/WCDMA: 900/2100 MHz
    • GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
    Asia Pacific:

    • HSPA/WCDMA: 900/2100 MHz
    • GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz ..."
Does that cover the US frequencies? Must do at least some as when I've taken a UK phone over there it works straight off.

I ordered from Amazon.co.uk and there is a small chance I might receieve the phone before I flight back to the US on the first week of Nov. If I get the phone, I will test it out back home and let you guys know how it goes.
