Help HTC Desire HD to LG G3

Hey everyone,

I've just got a new LG G3, coming from having a HTC Desire HD for the past 4 years. Gmail has been a godsend given that the G3 doesn't have "Transfer" app that the HD sports but that is all fine. I've basically transferred everything save the notes from the HTC Sense Notes Widget, and Voice Recorder files. They have been moved over on my SD Card, my issue is the G3 doesn't recognise them.

So, I am wondering if anyone is able to help me, first to find an Android App I can download on the G3 that will recognise the notes I made on the Desire HD's HTC Sense Notes Widget, because I have tried importing them on Quickmemo+ but they don't even register.

Secondly, the voice recording files, which I believe are in .amr format from my Desire HD also are not registering on the G3's Voice Recorder. Does anyone have any idea how I can get the G3's Voice Recorder to recognise these?

Thanks in advance! :)

For your audio recordings, I found a few 3rd party apps that support .amr format:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bytemystery.audioplayer&hl=en
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.tyniw.audioconverter.application&hl=en
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coffeebeanventures.easyvoicerecorder&hl=en

The second link might be able to convert them into a format the stock recording app can recognize. I'm sure there are many more options available, but not every app lists all of the supported formats; these ones did list amr...

As for the notes, I don't really have many ideas at the moment. Maybe you can convert them on your PC to a normal text file and go from there. What format are the notes in? That would be helpful information to explore this option and possibly other options.

The only other thing I can think of at the moment would be to try some different office apps such as: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobisystems.office&hl=en and see if any of them can read the files.

Thanks for starting to look into this for me guys.

Brian706, actually, the G3's in-built music player recognises the .amr files and has them on the same list as the my mp3s. I guess I'm looking for a .amr-to-.3gp converter, as .3gp is the format of the G3's voice recorder files.

I know it's a little pedantic, as I can now hear the old voice recordings in the new music player, but I really want them back and segregated to the voice recorder. I do many voice recordings which I want to keep together and easily accessible, and out of any randomised music playlist. lol

As for the notes, I think they are .pnt files, which the G3 can't recognise for me to see so I can't be sure I'm looking at the right thing in the file manager but I have so many of these files that I guess it makes sense with the number of notes I had saved. And the Notes Widget on the Desire HD allowed you to write and draw on a note before permanently saving it, meaning you couldn't edit it afterwards so .pnt makes more sense? Given that some of them are drawings, is converting them to .txt sensible? I literally have no clue...
