Help HTC desire s white flash on standby problem

Hey guys,

My HTC desire S gives this white flash and goes blank on standby for every 2 minutes. Everything else works fine on the phone. There seems to be no problem when it is on use. It is a brand new phone. Pleaseeeee help!!!

It is like a white flicker...which happens every 2 minutes. I dont know if it is because of some application running in the background or if the phone itself is faulty...please help!!!!

Mine is also doing this.

I notice it at night, the screen will flash white very briefly and then go back to normal.

As with the system crashes it seems to also do this at random.

Both my handsets have done this and a factory reset did not solve the issue.

So when did you buy your phone? Mine is just 2 weeks old.

I got the phone the day it was released in the UK and then took it back approx 10 days later and got another. Ive had this one for nearly 3 weeks.

Yes i have contacted HTC about the phone crashing, the screen flashing and the landscape text message backspace bug.

I should also say i have not heard back from them yet!

To clarify your issue, you stated that: You are facing problem with HTC Desire S on standby mode.

In this regard we would like to intimate you that please perform restore factory settings and share feedback with us. To perform the restore factory setting you need to perform the following settings:

1. Remove the battery, wait for a few seconds, and then reinsert the battery.

2. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.

3. Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.

4. Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button.

Note: - In the restore factory settings all your data will be lost. So before performing the hard reset please take the backup of your device.

Try it yourself???

Ive already factory reset my handset and it has not solved my problems.

I'm still awaiting a reply from HTC in regards to the issues i informed them about.

I did. It did not work for me either. I replied to them saying the same thing. Will wait for their response and tell you if i get any help.
