I'm looking to get the HTC Desire but am a little reluctant to join T-Mobile. I am currently with 3 and get excellent 3G signal pretty much everywhere. How does the T-Mobile 3G signal fare?

Thanks Jono, I've given this a quick look before. Can anyone comment on it's accuracy?

I'm not exactly sure on how up to date this is but it shouldn't be too bad.

It will give you a great idea on what kind of coverage you should get rather than what a network claims though.

I live in a rural area (Village) and in my bed room upstairs I can get 3G, which is pretty good.

Should be exactly the same for 3G (as both networks share their 3G networks)

patchy is the word i'd use to describe t mobiles coverage in general, i had a (excellent) nokia 5800 on a web n walk plan last year in the uk and the times i had to seek out wifi made the plan seem pointless...ps the street check coverage thingy sez i'm in a excellent area for coverage too ?

I did lose the signal about lunchtime today where I work in Sheffield. It soon came back so it looks like it can be a bit patchy. Overall I'm happy as I'm not a big user of the net.
