i think there's a lesson for all of us here.

if you want to know something spcific, ask the question yourself or if you're not sure about an answer to someone elses question, ask for clarification.

MAY be a silly question?, but are you on-line when you perform the search?

    Cheers

    Tom,

I MAY be wrong, but I do believe there needs to be some on-line interaction when using voice.

    Has it worked since?

    Cheers

am totally new to smartphones..am with HTC Desire now. :)
    1. Does the BACK button behaves as minimizing a running application? or it exits?..am a little confused coz my machine seems to hang a lil here and there now..probably i used it too often?

    2. Under "manage applications"..we do see running apps, do we need to 'force stop' to save battery life? or it's running coz i did not exit the app properly (so far i only know how to use the BACK button to close any application)

    Pls advice..thank you :)

and you're totally new to forums as well judging by the double post and asking questions that have been answered many times :)

    1. the back button will minimise or close apps as the android OS sees fit. kind of self-regulating so that a task killer is not needed (i repeat..never, not, no way needed).

    2. you don't really need to force stop anything. you only need to be aware of what is running and you can do this by setting up your desire properly with regards to syncing etc.

Greetings all. I have noticed a new symbol appearing to the left at the top of my screen. It is a globe with 'W' in the NW area and a down arrow in the SE area. Any thoughts please?

Have you got any widgets for Wifi and mobile internet? Because my mobile connection doesn't connect automoatically. Everytime when I'm outside, I've to go to the settings to start it.

I hope you don't mind my asking but I am not at all technical and am having trouble downloading photos from my HTC Desire HD to my MacBook Pro. Have you any advice that might help me please?

"Any advice that might help?" - Sell the phone!!! ;-) ;-) (Only joking).

Plug in your HD, to your laptop, and you SHOULD see it (on your 'puter) as an "external drive". The phone will also ask whether to connect to "Charge Only?", "HTC Sync?", "Connect as drive?". You need to "click" on "Connect as a drive". On your laptop, look for the external drive, where you should then be able to connect to

    Cheers
