The phone it self will cost a whole lot of money, more than the marquee of course. I think you will still pay the same 55 a month possibly without shrinkage and data limit to 2.5 gig

So they would limit the 4g to 2.5 gigs a month right? Sounds like something they'd Do..

I switched from a Sprint EVO 4G to the Boost Warp. The Evo is more substantial feeling, better display, has extended batteries available, and the 4G Wimax is nice... in the few places it's available. I'd get Wimax reception outside at work, but not inside, no reception at home. I almost never turned it on.

4g.. so overrated. My whole state doesn't even have 1 tower for that.. maybe it will in another 10-15 yrs.

    Am disappoint!

About the evo, it's going to be a watered down version of the original from what I can tell. I bet 4g is the only reason boost brought out a half-decent (if that) phone because if they didn't, HTC would have no place with boost.

I confirmed it with a BOOST rep today that the EVO is coming to BOOST in about a month. No price as of yet. I don't really see the big deal. From what I can decipher on the specs the Warp has more memory and overall is about as good. My Warp after deleted alot of apps., GO Launcher products, live wallpapers, memory booster and alot of other cr*p that was running in the background, has not frozen once and my battery is going on 12 hours without charging !!! An absolute record. I hope it keeps it up.

The EVO Design has 768mb of ram vs the Warps 512mb.
The EVO Design come stock with a 1.2Ghz speed vs the Warps 1Ghz (Soon to be 1.4Ghz+)
The EVO Design has a 4"qHD Display vs the Warps 4.3" lackluster display.
The EVO Design may or may not have 4g vs the Warp doesn't have 4g
The EVO Design will probably be $300+ vs the Warps $180-$199 price tag

Aside from the random and not so often reboots, the fact we now have a working (But not finished) kernel source with over-clock capabilities and will soon have cm7/9 i would say the warp would be the way to go for the price. I'm sure after cm7/9 has been ported this device will be a force, it runs at 1.4Ghz without an issue. Not even heating up like it does at 1Ghz.

Two days...no random freezes our reboots and seventeen hours on my battery with moderate use. Best my warp ever ran. Loving it. Hope it continues.

Sprint confirms rumors, 4G WiMax to Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile

Sprint has launched a couple of smartphones on Sprint’s network that are capable of 4G WiMax connections and now a they will be going to prepaid carriers like Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile. The HTC EVO 3D and the HTC EVO Design 4G will be launching on both networks sometime this year and both handsets will be ready to receive the 4G WiMax signal. Sprint has been working on getting their 4G LTE network going nationwide and would offer contract subscribers a faster speed than those that use the prepaid 4G WiMax service. The rumors have been floating around for a little while now and Sprint did confirm those rumors in recent conference calls as the company spoke about its earnings in the last quarter. When Sprint first launched their 4G WiMax network a couple of years ago, it was the first carrier to make the move and they launched the HTC EVO 4G to go along with it. Since then, AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile have all committed to 4G LTE and the download speeds on Sprint’s WiMax network do not compare to true 4G LTE speeds. Recently, Sprint had made the call to switch over to the more popular, more reliable 4G LTE structure for their network.
According to the president of network operations at Sprint, the company plans to get the 4G WiMax to the prepaid carriers in the next quarter. Prepaid customers are still a large part of Sprint’s overall subscriber base. The company added almost 490,000 subscribers to their prepaid networks in the first quarter alone, which is much more than contract subscribers they added during the same time. Sprint has also started adding software to phones that allows them to search for a WiMax or Wi-Fi signal in order to take some stress off of the 3G network.
With Sprint bringing the WiMax to prepaid carriers validates reasons that Clearwire should support the network in the future. Right now, Clearwire is in transition to 4G LTE upgrade in the next year, but said they plan to support the WiMax for a while. Sprint has not said when they plant to get the prepaid carriers into the 4G LTE network exactly, but the company did make mention that it will happen at some point.

I think internal storage is only at 1GB. Warp is 4GB. I saw the phone. It does seem to have a little more quality. Since I warrantied mine out like a month ago, and now having no problems, I will wait and not jump on their first 4g phone and be disappointed when in 3 months they will probably add several more options at cheaper prices. And, from what I hear, Sprint/Boost 4g is barely existent. Their map shows decent coverage.......??? just reporting what I hear. Thanks for your post.

yeah lol I love how carriers push 4g so much and make so much hype about it but when you look at it I mean where's the coverage for it? I mean c'mon.. :p where I live we only get *1* verizon 4g LTE tower (I was shocked when I found that out) in our city and that's probably the only 4g we'll get for quite a while
