Ok, I know there are a bunch of accessory threads out there, but I figured this might help some people whom prefer their accessories the cheapest they can get them (like me :D)

I'll compile a list of some of the cheapest stuff I've found here, and hopefully it will benefit some of you, as it has me. Feel free to add any other cheap accessories you may have found.

Note: I am not taking credit for the majority of these.

    Universal GPS Car Mount:
    https://www.shop4tech.com/item8622.html

    Sale price is $4.95.
Apply coupon code "VP17" to get an additional 17% off.
Total came out to be $4.11 shipped.

    Micro USB Cable:
    https://www.shop4tech.com/item8777.html

    Sale price is $2.95.
Apply coupon code "VP17" to get an additional 17% off.
Total came out to be $2.45 shipped. (Cheaper than monoprice to me)

    Clarivue Screen Protectors:
HTC Evo 4G Screen Protector from Clarivue

    Sale price is $12.99.
Apply coupon code "Clarivue7" to get an additional 10% off.
Total came out to $11.69 shipped.

    HTC Hero 1500 maH Battery:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/HTC-Hero-A6277-...geNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ht_720wt_1137

    $6.97, free shipping.

(Note: It also includes an HTC Hero battery door, but this is the cheapest I have been able to find OEM batteries. I have exchanged several messages with the seller and she has assured me that these are in fact OEM batteries and mentioned to me that she tests each battery before shipping them out.)

I was also able to talk her into selling me 2 batteries for $10 shipped without the Hero battery door, so perhaps some of you may be able to do the same. I intend to rely mostly on the stock battery and use these as back-ups.

    3.5 mm Stereo Plug:
    For only $0.88 each when QTY 50+ purchased - 3.5mm Stereo Plug/Plug M/M Cable - 12ft | 3.5mm Audio M/M Cables

    Sale price is $1.02.
Total came out to be $3.09 shipped.

(They have other smaller sizes, but none in stock until 6/11)

I couldn't see it not working. Evo is MicroUSB so is that. I don't see it not working at all.

I'm sure this has already been answered or explained somewhere else so I apologize in advance for asking, but is that 1500 mAH battery (reasonably) guaranteed to work in the EVO? No hackage or anything required?

This is correct. I price checked both websites, and even with shipping monoprice was still cheaper by $2.

For the cheapest, smallest cable, yes. But the cable I posted is 10 feet long. Monoprice's 10 feet cable came out to be $3.42 shipped to me, less than a dollar saved, but still just a bit cheaper.

The Hero battery has already been verified to work with the EVO, I have already received the batteries from that seller and while I have no EVO to test out yet, the batteries do have the "HTC Innovation" letters that is typical of the OEM battery.

Unless a third-party managed to copy the exact image and place it exactly in the same position as the OEM batteries, it's the real thing. No hackage required or anything.

Anyone have a link for a USB wall-charger? Might be nice to have an extra one laying around.

Since the extended battery fits the Hero, TP2 and the EVO, the 1500 mAH will also fit the EVO. I am happy about that because I have several extra batteries for my Hero, which I will now use for the Evo.

Just as a side note, I would stay away from anything Amzer or Fomy. I've looked up some of their products, and the majority seem to garner mediocre reviews. Doesn't seem worth it even for the cheap price.

No, unfortunately. I should have rephrased my words to say "It should be the real thing".

Buying anything from ebay is always a risk, and it would be foolish to guarantee anything, but to me, the low-cost risk of spending $10 for two batteries was worth it. If you're interested, I would send her a message for further info.

Granted, this is the internet, but she seemed to be genuine and was willing to answer all my questions and concerns in a timely manner.

also, as much as I have recommended them in the past, be careful with monoprice. Myself and quite a few friends had account info stolen from them and they never notified us. Only found out when our cards came up declined one day because the bank had to shut them off due to suspicious activity.

That says alot. It tells me that you are honest and she is honest, now we need to hope her supplier is honest. I really think it is a real deal. Could you post some picture of the battery, so we can take a look.

Be careful with some of the inexpensive car and wall chargers. Make sure that the output amperage is at least 1000 mA. I had a cheap one with my Touch Pro2 and it was only putting out 500 mA at the same time my battery was draining at 600-700mA with GPS navigation running.

Basically, the charger couldn't keep up with the battery drain, thus it only delayed the inevitable dead battery.

Dtto... Bought a tv wall mount. Excellent quallity Amazing price. But the credit card that we used. (only had been used twice ever) Wound up being charged up in california wich is like 3000 miles from where I live. never even been to cali. I was fairly confident it was Monoprice that lost our info but wasn't 100% till now. The charge company fixxed the issue. All things considered (how much I've saved there over the years) I'd shop there again. Just be carefull and watch your card statements.

Unfortunately, the only thing I have with a camera right now is a mediocre Samsung Rant, so the pictures suck, but here's a couple:
