I was watching TNT's The Closer and at about 45 minutes in, there is an excellent shot of our favorite phone. The scene last for about 5 minutes with the HTC EVO getting plenty of camera time.

  2. Hilarious, I almost want to find the episode to see it.

    This is cool, no doubt.

But, I bet the most common viewer responce will be: Is that the new iPhone?
    What a shame.

Thanks. It is coming up next. It is 9:00PM PST in Cali.

    Edit @ 9:45PM PST.
I saw it. YAY. Two of them. Each detective has one. YAY. Our phone has been on TV. YAY.

  7. Haha, it was on right after you posted this. Thanks for the heads up. The kickstand looked a little different on it for some reason. Good eyes, catching this.

My wife and I saw that last night as we were watching the show. We were both excited to see it on a show.

nice. if you haven't noticed, product placement in shows is at an all-time high, thanks to DVRs and people fast-forwarding through commercials. If the product is now part of the show, you can't miss it :)

sometimes it's so blatant that it's a turnoff. there's definitely some skill into blending the "ad" into the show.

Sprint managed to incorporate their logo in every piece of mobile gadgetry on 24. Jack Bauer's phone, PDA, etc were all "sprint" products, lol.

Wait a minute...is this the Star-Trek fan club site?

Sprint easily has the most product placement screen time on 24. Even when they aren't using cell phones theyll just show the spring logo on a computer for no reason. Season 8 shows quite a few HTC Hero's, so i would expect the upcoming movie to possibly have Evo's. Unless something better comes out before they start shooting.

Nope its the evo fan club, and if you don't see that the more they advertise this phone, the more people want it and a less chance the evo will get left in the dark for future updates etc...

Actually, no, I don't "see it."
The Evo WILL 'Get lost in the dark," as will any and ALL future breads of the latest and greatest smart phones. The Evo will be rendered obsolete long before our two year contracts expire. My best guess is Christmas of this year.

I think your wrong, but we will see

  16. i think he's pretty spot on. teh evo will be top of the mountain for 6 months to a year. it will still be a good solid phone, but it won't be the best.

    it's evolution baby

I'm not saying it will be the best, heck I think the epic is better than the evo, but i don't think it will be forgotten about.

At least it's more subtle than the iPad edition of Modern Family. That was awful.

Is it just me or is the Sprint text seem bolder and the logo after it seems to actually be gold in color

They beafed up the logo so people would know how/where to get the phone. Smart marketing. :)
