Root htc evo root help

    i just rooted my evo 4g using unrevoked 3 and some apps are saying that i have no root access while some say i do i have the super user access app but when i got titanium back up it said i wasnt rooted and wouldnt let me access deleting the stock apps was the hole reason i rooted if i did something wrong please help thanks

    That happening because you don't have busybox installed yet, which is required by titanium backup. Tap on the problems button in titanium backup, and it will guide you through installing busybox. Once that is done, it will work.

    No problem :). It's one of those semi-cryptic errors that throws a lot of people off.

    Be careful deleting stock apps, some functions are tied into these. You should research which apps are safe to delete.
    You could always flash a rom that has these removed. I would check the xda site for stock roms without the bloatware.

    I just got a new evo and did the unrevoked root and after the rebooting a message game up stating root was unsucessful i must have new firmware. What can i do i need my evo rooted again. Please help

    First, reboot to hboot(power off, then hold down volume down and power at the same time). See if it says s-off at the top. If so, try and select recovery from the menu and see what happens. Let us know and we can go from there.

    s is off but when i hit recovery phone with a red triangle come up

    Did you just run Unrevoked a second time to get it to finish or did you do the rest manually?
