HTC Evo versus the Samsung Epic

I have the Samsung Intercept and will be upgrading in the next few days. I love all the options of the EVO but the lack of keyboard is making me wary. I heard there is a new phone releasing on August 11th, the Samsung Epic. Does anyone have any insight in which way to go? Any input on either of these phones would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
