Yesterday my HTC Hero frooze up as I was looking through the AP News app. I tried pressing the power and return buttons to get out of it but it wouldn't respond. I ended up letting the battery to dead and then plugged it back in to power up again, allowing the phone to reboot but I was hoping someone out there knows of a better way of dealing with this? Chances are it is something really simple, but I don't know what that is. Thanks.

I don't have a clue as far as a fix, but instead of waiting for you battery to die, you could just take it out.

Battery pull would be the way to go in this case. If it acts up again, remove/reinstall the app or just keep it off for good.

I have to agree with this. You really should change your user name to something else. :(

Not to mention, it also deforms the look and feel of the threads that you post in because your user name is longer than normal. You will not have to worry about pulling your battery the next time your handset freezes up as your GMail will use up the battery for you from all the spam you will be getting. ;)
