HTC Hero getting 2.1 on April 26th.....in Taiwan

There is no way the Eris is getting 2.1 this month, I just don't see it happening. I really don't even see it happening next month considering this announcment:

If you read the article, it pretty much says that the rest of the world will get the update right away. I'm not sure if they mean officially or the build being spread by downloaders. This is the Hero and not the Eris and Verizon will release our build so keep that in mind. I posted this news in another thread just for kicks but this really shouldn't have any bearing on when we get the OTA.

Oh, I do agree with you on that. Not because of the news posted today but I just don't think that we will get it before April. If I'm wrong, then I will proudly say so and get my OTA update.

But I've only got 21 months to go.

I'm 16 months from "new every two". I'm willing to bet that we will have an official 2.1 upgrade by then.

I don't mind waiting as long as they fix all the bugs. The leak is holding me over for now.
