I just recently got the HTC Hero and have a question regarding the mp3 player.

When you go to albums and choose an album to play, I found that the tracks are not listed in the correct order. Is this seriously the case or is there a way to get albums to play as they should be played?

I'm not sure, but try mixzing and see if that does correctly (have a read of my guide too ;P )

They are in order for me. Are you sure your files are tagged right?

I suppose I can try another album, according to Media Player the tracks are tagged right but I'll try more

Mine used to be in the correct order but for some bizarre reason they have changed to being in alphabetical order of track name. Not sure what I have done to cause that or how I can change it. I suspect you have done the same!

Same here, it has been ordering the songs wrong since the beginning. I'm happily using MixZing instead, since most of the other music players on the Market seem to be just different interfaces for the default music player.

Seems to be better than the HTC player. Only thing I miss is being able to control functions without unlocking.
