Hi, I am new to the droid world. It amazes me, but I have a few questions.
    1. Rooting/rom stuff.. what is it? Do I need it?

    2. Most but not all of my contacts are doubled in my contact list. The sprint store told me to go to my google acct. and delete them from there, but when I went there, they weren't doubled. Hmmm.... also, when I go to delete them on teh phone, they aren't doubled in the delete menu.

    THANKS!!!

    So Cal
    1. someone else would be better to answer that.
    2. Don't delete your contacts, just dont sync them with the phone and they will not double up on there.

to answer your first question the answer is no you dont "need" it but once you get used to the android type of stuff you can try it out...i would say take it slow and learn stuff before you jump into rooting and installing roms
