hello all, quick and hopefully simple question if i may....

i have set a SIM lock which is obviously easy etc but i was wondering, if my phone does get nicked, if another SIM is inserted into my phone does that grant access to my google accounts etc as if it was my original SIM?

obviously any would be thief would not be able to use my proper SIM but is the other stuff linked to it for total security?

cheers guys.

I'm pretty sure if someone just swapped out the sim they'd have access to everything.

It's a major issue I've noticed (the Hero being my first smartphone) - if you were to lose your phone, someone would have access to A LOT of information.

I recommend you get the WaveSecure app from the Android Market. Fantastic app and free if you get it before 31 Jan. Will let you remotely lock and track your phone (even if the sim is switched), and backup and erase your data.

Checked out wavesecure.... awesome! Highly recommended to all android users especially whilst its entirely FREE!!

Yeah it's seriously impressive.

Of course, there are workarounds, but the average person who finds your phone won't know how to hard reset it etc.

I think they're trying to get it bundled with official ROMs in the future (and not just Android phones)...that would be awesome
